Junk mail is unwanted mail such as advertising material and free newspapers. It’s thought to make up about 4% of household waste.

If you want to free your letter box from unwanted mail, follow these steps.

Royal mail deliver a lot of unaddressed junk mail, but you can choose to opt out.

Putting a "No Junk Mail" sticker near your letterbox can cut down on fliers, leaflets and newspapers coming through your door.
